Business Analyst

At the beginning of their careers, Business Analysts acquire new capabilities and responsibilities at a rapid rate. They have the opportunity to build a deep understanding of their part of the problem, as well as the chance to develop their broader business and problem solving abilities.

Over several studies, Business Analysts also develop their expertise in working with clients, preparing effective communication materials, and delivering presentations to clients.

High performing Business Analysts typically find they are given more scope to work independently, applying their creativity and intellect to deliver unique, high impact analyses and generate real insight.

Exceptional business analysis skills and increased experience allow our Associates to focus on drawing out the key insights that will help solve our clients' problems.  Associates also contribute to the initial problem definition, the day-to-day management of the project, and the preparation and delivery of communication materials for senior client management teams and Boards.

Associates quickly find themselves taking ownership of important sub-projects within an overall study. For example, in a study of a potential acquisition they may be asked to develop a detailed understanding of a particular business unit within a target company.

Our Senior Associates are given additional scope to develop problem solving and project leadership capabilities. Senior Associates also receive increased responsibility for the smooth coordination of our teams, and for providing advice, coaching and guidance to other team members. Our Senior Associates apply their experience to the design and delivery of our development programs, and usually play a substantial role in leading firm activities or initiatives.

Most people who join our firm as Associates have substantial consulting or industry experience.

Associate Principal

Promotion to Associate Principal level indicates potential to become a leader of our firm.

Associate Principals have demonstrated their abilities as outstanding problem solvers, engagement managers, and coaches for other team members, as well as an ability to develop solid, enduring client relationships.

In addition, Associate Principals find themselves increasingly seen by clients as more than a project or engagement manager, but as an adviser and thought partner around their most critical issues.

Associate Principals are expected to take a more active role in leading our relationships with clients, in addition to continuing to lead and manage the problem solving effort in individual engagements.

Together with our Directors, Principals provide the leadership necessary to set, deliver on and improve our standards of service to our clients.

Client executives rely on our Principals to deliver the combination of insight and impact they need to address their most important problems. Our Principals work to ensure that every project we do meets this standard.

As firm leaders, our Principals also strive to ensure everyone at Port Jackson Partners receives the opportunity to develop their careers to their true potential. As well as contributing to the success of our training programs, our Principals are responsible for the coaching and mentoring of our Business Analysts, Associates and Associate Principals.
